Organist/Pianist

Expectations::

Experienced accompanist

Responsibilities:

Organist/pianist will lead congregational singing, to accompany the choir, support worship services with appropriate musical offerings when choir not present.

One Service,Sunday,10:00 a.m. - Occasionally, but rarely play at 7:30 a.m. service

Practicing with the choir on Tuesday or Thursday at 6:00 p.m.

Accompany soloists as needed during summer months when choir is off.

Attend worship planning meetings as needed.

Responsible for music at special services and weddings and funerals(additional compensations)

Salary/Benefits: Commensurate with experience

Keyboard Instruments: Allen three manual Renaissance organ and new Kawai Digital piano

Organist/Pianist

Part-Time






Purpose:

Provide traditional and innovative organ and/or piano music, including collaborative keyboardist for special ensembles.

Responsibilities:

Provide appropriate organ/piano musical accompaniment,Gathering Music, Prelude,Hymns(selected by Pastor or working with Choir Director),Choral Anthems, Response,Offertory, Communion, Postlude.

Rehearse each week with Chancel Choir and occasionally with other ensembles or soloists.

Direct Choir in absence of Choir Director.

Submit titles and composers of music literature to church office

Responsible for music at special services and weddings and funerals

Provide Worship Committee Chair maintenance budget for church instruments and arrange for organ and piano maintenance and tuning.

Salary: Commensurate with experience and education, Year-round position-average 15 hours per week.

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in music-degree in organ or piano performance preferred.

High level of technical proficiency, Computer knowledge and proficiency in software programs and web-based applications used for music.

Organ: 860 pipe organ with draw-knob key-desk, switching system, revitalized by The Peragallo Organ Company in 2012

Piano: Steinway Baby Grand
